What kind of inspection is done to the engines?
Until now, there was not any standard for evaluating the quality of used automobile parts. As a result, parts of various qualities were distributed, some possible to be reused and others that could not.
Therefore, and for example, the Kenyan government hav been considering to ban the import of used automobile parts, and some parts have already been banned.
Knowing the situation, Kaiho Industry standardized its own quality evaluation standard for used automobile parts, “Japan Reuse Standard (JRS)”, which was later granted with the international standard “Publicly Available Specification 777 (PAS777)”.
As the efforts of Kaiho Industry have changed from company-specific standards to international standards, our know-how is attracting attention from each country as a model that can be introduced to countries around the world.
This “JRS (international standard PAS777)” is Kaiho Industry’s original engine inspection standard.
Overview and features of JRS
In 2010, we created the Worldwide unique standard called “JRS” that evaluates the quality of used automobile engines.
In 2013, based on this JRS, the used engine evaluation standard “PAS777” was officially issued by the British Standards Association as a public specification.
The quality of used engines evaluated by this standard is clear, so customers of any region of the World can purchase with confidence.
“PAS777” may turn into ISO standard in the future.

JRS certifies the condition by thoroughly inspecting the mileage, appearance, engine sludge, etc.
JRS engine inspectors face about 8,000 engines annually. The professionals carefully identify the engine one by one and test the condition.
